She has been awarded prizes for her work such as Scopus prize for Young Researchers (2007), Houssey in Natural and Exact Sciences (2007) and the L’Oreal-UNESCO-Conicet for Woman in Science (2010).
She has lead research projects and international networks such as Alfa Network Lenac, FP7 IRSES LACEGAL and el ITN Cosmocomp. She was director of the Argentine Virtual Observatory (2009-2013).
Her main research interests are Galaxy Formation and Evolution, the Milky Way, Chemical Evolution of Galaxies and Numerical Simulations. She published 68 ISI articles (more tan 2100 cites and h=28).

Ha recibido premios en reconocimiento a su trabajo científico como el Premio Scopus para Jóvenes Científicos (2007), el Premio Houssey en Ciencias Naturales y Exactas (2007) y el Premio L’Oreal-UNESCO-Conicet para la Mujer en Ciencia (2010).
Ha coordinado numerosos proyectos nacionales y redes internacionales como el Alfa Network Lenac, FP7 IRSES LACEGAL y el ITN Cosmocomp financiados por la Comunidad Europea. Ha participado activamente de comités en Astronomía y HPC.
Fue directora del Observatorio Virtual Argentino (2009-2013). Sus áreas de mayor interés son: Formación de Galaxias, La Via Láctea, Evolución Química, Cosmología y Simulaciones Numéricas. Es autora de 68 artículos referenciados con más de 2100 citas (h=28).
