The closest star to the Sun, Proxima Centauri, is 4.2 light-years away, which means if we represented by another 24-centimeters sphere, we would have to locate it approximately in Miami. The sunspots are the darkest, coldest areas of the visible surface of the Sun. Some of them can measure 4 Earths in a row.

Genera energía en su interior, la cual viaja hasta su superficie y desde ahí demora apenas 8 minutos en llegar a la Tierra. Dentro de unos 5000 millones de años, el combustible al interior del Sol se habrá agotado producto de lo cual liberará sus capas más externas formando una nebulosa planetaria y marcando así la muerte de nuestra estrella. La estrella más cercana al Sol, Próxima Centauri, se encuentra a 4,2 años luz de distancia, es decir, si la representáramos por otra esfera de 24 centímetros, tendríamos que ubicarla aproximadamente en Miami ¡Las distancias en el Universo son enormes!

Las manchas solares son las áreas más oscuras y frías en la superficie visible del Sol. Algunas pueden medir el equivalente a 4 Tierras puestas en fila.
