It is two and a half times more massive than all the other planets together, and its volume is such that about 1300 Earths would fit in it. It is made up mainly by hydrogen and helium, but towards the interior the pressure increases and the gases become liquidy. A feature of this giant is its light-dark stripes that create a cloud system at different heights. Perhaps, the most striking thing about Jupiter is the great red spot, which is a hurricane so big that it could contain two Earths, and it has been going around for more than 300 years.
