The event, which is known by its family environment, gathered girls, boys, and young people around different astronomical activities, including a kids area with contests and prizes of the astro-roulette, paint your personalized astronomical pin, and also the selfie in the solar eclipse. Besides, the attendants had the opportunity to talk with astronomers, ask them every possible question, and carry their telescopes to learn how to assemble them; at the same time when they were learning how to observe with the naked eye. As always, the kings of the night were the telescopes that allowed the attendants to observe different astronomicañ bodies after listening the talk that Manuela Zoccali, MAS Deputy Director, gave called “The stars at our finfertips.”
This whole event had the cooperation of the Faculty of Engineering and Sciences of Adolfo Ibáñez, the Metroplolitan University of Educational Sciences (UMCE, by its acronyms in Spanish), the Millennium Nucleus for Planet Formation (NPF), the Science Communication Center of Universidad Autónoma de Chile, the Millennium Science Innitiative, Universidad Andrés Bello, la Aldea del Encuentro (the Meeting Village), and Mahuida Park.

El evento, que se caracteriza por su carácter familiar, reunió a niños y niñas, jóvenes y adultos en torno a distintas actividades astronómicas, entre la que se contó con una zona de niños con los concursos y premios de la astro-ruleta, pinta tu chapita astronómica personalizada y la selfie en el eclipse solar. Además, los asistentes tuvieron la oportunidad de conversar con astrónomos, hacerles todas sus preguntas y llevar sus telescopios para que ellos mismos les enseñaran a armarlos; al mismo tiempo que les mostraron cómo observar el cielo a ojo desnudo. Como siempre, los reyes de la noche fueron los telescopios, pero permitieron a los asistentes observar diferentes objetos astronómicos, luego de escuchar la charla de la subdirectora del MAS, Manuela Zoccali, llamada “Los Astros a nuestro alcance”.
Todo el evento contó con la colaboración de Facultad de Ingeniería y Ciencias Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, la Universidad Metropolitana de Ciencia de la Educación (UMCE), Núcleo Milenio de Formación Planetaria (NPF), el Centro de Comunicación de las Ciencias Universidad Autónoma de Chile, la Iniciativa Científica Milenio, la Universidad Andrés Bello, la Aldea del Encuentro y el Parque Mahuida.
